CHILDREN’S HOUSE: 2.9TO 6 YEARS

Summer Sessions at NMS offers four 2-week sessions for Toddler House aged children (18 months to 2.8 years) and Children’s House aged children (2.9-6 years).  Each session offers play based curriculum developed around a different theme and offers experiences in art, music, imaginative play, and outdoor activities.

JUNE 9 - JUNE 13TH

IN MY COMMUNITY

  • This week we will discover the people, places, and services that contribute to everyday life in our community.  This theme encourages children to understand the significance of their surroundings and promotes a sense of belonging, community engagement, and social responsibility through active participation and imaginative play.

  • This session will immerse children in the world of farming, agriculture, and nature. Through fun activities, processed art, and learning experiences, we will explore the importance of farming, animal care, and the food production process.

THE ART STUDIO

  • The children will follow their creative journey through process art inspiring them to explore their creativity without the pressure of completing a specific project. Instead of focusing on the end product, the emphasis is on the experience of making art, experimenting with different materials, and expressing their ideas. This theme fosters creativity, self-expression, and fine motor skills through open-ended art activities. We will also explore several artists and illustrators of children’s books.
